Privacy Policy
SaaSical LLC DBA FoodieLot
Effective Date: October 18, 2026
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how SaaSical LLC, doing business as FoodieLot (“FoodieLot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use foodielot.com and related services (the “Platform”). Our mailing address is 2121 1st Avenue North, STE N, Birmingham, AL 35203 US. Questions? Contact [email protected].
FoodieLot is a discovery and scheduling platform that connects three types of users: Customers (people who find and follow food trucks), Vendors (food-truck operators), and Hosts (businesses, event operators, or fixed locations that make space available for food trucks). This Policy applies to all three.
2. Scope; U.S. Only
The Platform is intended for users located in the United States only. We do not knowingly offer the Platform to, or collect information from, users outside the United States.
3. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information, depending on how you use the Platform.
a. Information you provide directly.
- Account data: name, email address, phone number, password, and role (Customer, Vendor, or Host).
- Vendor data: business name, business contact details, menu and truck information, service schedules, and uploaded legal documents and certifications (e.g., business licenses, food-handler/health permits, insurance certificates, and similar records you upload to the Platform).
- Host data: business/location name, address, site details, availability, and contact information.
- Communications: messages, requests, reviews and ratings, and support inquiries.
- Payment-related data (Vendors and Hosts only): billing contact, payment history (bookings, subscriptions, refunds and FoodieLot Credit) and payment-method references. Card and bank details are collected and handled by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc.; we store only tokenized references, card brand and last four digits — never full card numbers.
- Host payout data: to pay Hosts, Stripe collects identity, business and bank-account information through its Connect onboarding flow; FoodieLot receives the connected-account identifier and verification/payout status but not your bank-account number or government ID.
b. Information collected automatically.
- Device and usage data (IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, and interactions).
- Approximate or precise location data where you enable it, so we can show trucks and host spots “near you.”
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8).
c. Information from others.
- Ratings, reviews, or reports about a Vendor or Host from other users.
- Information from our service providers (e.g., payment processors, analytics, hosting).
We do not currently collect payout bank details or tax identifiers (such as W-9/SSN/EIN) from Vendors or Hosts, because we do not currently pay out funds to them. If we introduce payouts in the future, we will collect payout and tax information and update this Policy accordingly.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create and manage accounts and authenticate users;
- Operate core features — displaying trucks, schedules, host spots, follows, and “roll-in” notifications;
- Process booking payments, subscription fees, refunds and FoodieLot Credit through Stripe, and pay Hosts their share of bookings through Stripe Connect;
- Review and verify Vendor and Host accounts for fraud, risk and restricted-business compliance, and investigate and respond to payment disputes and chargebacks — including sharing relevant booking records, receipts, check-in/serving status, messages and account activity with Stripe, the card networks and the issuing bank;
- Enable Vendors to upload, and us to store, their licenses, certifications, and insurance certificates;
- Communicate with you by email, SMS/text message, and push/in-app notifications (see Section 9);
- Provide customer support and respond to requests;
- Monitor, secure, debug, and improve the Platform;
- Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with law.
5. How We Share Information
We share information as follows:
- Between users, to make the Platform work. Vendor business/truck info, schedules, ratings, and the host spots they serve are shown to Customers. Relevant Vendor and Host information is shared between them to coordinate bookings.
- With service providers who work on our behalf — hosting, analytics, communications (email/SMS/push), and our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. — under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Stripe processes your payment and payout data under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy).
- For legal reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of FoodieLot, our users, or the public.
- In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws. If this ever changes, we will update this Policy and provide any required opt-out.
6. Vendor Documents and Certifications
Vendors upload legal documents and certifications through the Platform. FoodieLot stores these as a convenience and does not independently verify, validate, or guarantee their authenticity, accuracy, or current validity. These documents may be shared with Hosts and, where required, with authorities in response to lawful requests. Vendors are solely responsible for maintaining valid, current licensing, certifications, and insurance.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, then retain it as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We may retain de-identified or aggregated data indefinitely.
8. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, measure usage, and improve the Platform. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. If we deploy analytics or advertising technologies that trigger additional legal requirements, we will provide the required notices and controls.
9. Communications and Your Choices
- Email: You may opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link. We may still send you non-promotional, transactional messages (e.g., account, security, and booking notices).
- SMS/Text (TCPA): By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from FoodieLot, which may include truck “roll-in” alerts, booking and account notifications, and, if you opt in, promotional messages. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of using the Platform.
- Push/In-App: You can control push notifications through your device settings.
- Follower notifications: When you follow a truck, that vendor may send you promotional follower notifications (booking announcements, “now serving” alerts, and specials) in the app, and by push and email if you have those channels enabled. You can unfollow at any time, turn off “Promotional push” in your notification settings, and use the “Stop promotional emails from Foodie Lot” link in any promotional email. Stopping promotional emails does not affect your follows, favorites, serving alerts, or booking emails.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to appeal a denial of a request. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. You must be at least 18 to transact or to hold a Vendor or Host account. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Policy with a new Effective Date and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
